Co-funding staff scholarships
The purpose of staff scholarships is to link human resources with the employment sphere, because long-term staff planning can help companies to develop the staff they need and in this way encourage the development of the company.
On the basis of the Scholarship act there are two kinds of programmes for co-funding staff scholarships:
The purpose of staff scholarships within the framework of uniform regional scholarship schemes is to set up a system of incentives for linking education with the needs of the labour market, with the purpose of eliminating the structural imbalances in employment, improving the qualification structure of human resources and increasing employability in the region.
In April every year, regional development agencies call upon the employers established in their region to register their needs. Then the agencies publish tender invitations for the interested secondary school pupils and students.
- Direct co-funding of staff scholarships
For employers who are not included in the regional schemes, the Fund provides direct co-funding of staff scholarships. In this way the number of scholarships has increased, while with incentives for employers, the granting of staff scholarships will again become the basic form of granting scholarships in conformity with the demands of the economy and the labour market.
